Each field trip will have a focus, but you should explore the field trip setting for a while, before deciding what you want to say about it.<\/li>\n<li>Fridays, we\u2019ll be in the photo lab, developing our pictures. You\u2019ll choose photos for your story, adjust and crop them, then construct a slide show.<\/li>\n<li>Mondays (for the first two trips) or Wednesday evening (for the third), you\u2019ll present your material.\n<ul>\n<li>Monday in-class presentations will use the<a href=\"http:\/\/soan347.coolsociology.net\/?page_id=93\"> <u>mini-PechaKucha format<\/u><\/a> <em>click for instructions)<\/em>. You\u2019ll tell your story about what you observed in 3 minutes &amp; 20 seconds, using 10 slides.<\/li>\n<li>The public \u201cCultures of Disneyland\u201d presentation will be a <a href=\"http:\/\/soan347.coolsociology.net\/?page_id=93\">full PechaKucha<\/a>: 20 slides in 6 minutes and 40 seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For all these events, you should focus on portraying the social scene and patterns you observed <u>accurately<\/u> and <u>creatively<\/u>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students will each present a slide show after each of our three field trips.\u00a0 The rhythm is as follows.
